Oriovisto Guimarães is a Brazilian politician and businessman representing Paraná in the Federal Senate since 2019. Born in Batatais, São Paulo, he established a prominent career in education and technology as a co-founder of Grupo Positivo and the first rector of Universidade Positivo. Entering politics later in life, he was elected senator in 2018 as a member of Podemos, campaigning on platforms of political reform, tax simplification, and the reduction of political privileges.
