Masahito Ozawa is a Japanese politician and former labor union leader currently serving as a member of the House of Councillors. Born in Kofu, Yamanashi Prefecture, he began his career at the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications in 1984 and later held a leadership position as the Central Vice Chairman of the Japan Post Group Labor Union. He was first elected to the House of Councillors in 2019 and secured re-election in 2025. In addition to his legislative duties, he serves as the Chairman of the Committee on General Affairs and leads the Yamanashi Prefectural Federation of the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan.
