Péter Márki-Zay is a Hungarian politician, economist, and electrical engineer who has served as the Mayor of Hódmezővásárhely since 2018. A former independent candidate, he gained national prominence as the leader and Prime Ministerial candidate of the United for Hungary alliance during the 2022 parliamentary election. He is the co-founder of the Everybody's Hungary People's Party and is known for his advocacy for transparency, European integration, and the restoration of the rule of law in Hungary. Before entering politics, he held various roles in marketing and logistics in Hungary, Canada, and the United States.
