Panagiotis Christofas is a Greek politician and civil engineer currently serving as the Mayor of Mytilene. Born in Mytilene in 1981, he studied civil engineering at the National Technical University of Athens, where he earned postgraduate degrees in Underground Works Design and Construction and in Water Resources Science and Technology. Before his election as mayor in 2023, he worked as a civil engineer and served as a member of the Regional Council of the North Aegean Region. As mayor, he has focused on sustainable tourism development and addressing local infrastructure challenges, including water scarcity.
