Panagiotis Simandirakis is a Greek politician and economist currently serving as the Mayor of Chania. Born in 1982 in Kera, Kissamos, he holds a master's degree in Applied Economics and Finance with a specialization in European Integration from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Before his election as mayor in 2019, he served as a Regional Councilor of Crete and as a Deputy Regional Minister. He is known for his focus on regional development and education, and he was re-elected to his mayoral post in 2023.
