Panyaza Lesufi

Panyaza Lesufi is a South African politician serving as the seventh Premier of Gauteng since October 2022. A long-time member of the African National Congress, he previously served as the Member of the Executive Council for Education in the Gauteng provincial government from 2014 to 2022. Before entering provincial politics, he worked in public administration and communications, including roles in the Department of Basic Education. Lesufi is known for his focus on education reform and provincial administration, and he currently leads the Gauteng provincial government.
