Paola De Micheli

Paola De Micheli is an Italian politician and manager who has served as a member of the Chamber of Deputies since 2008. A member of the Democratic Party, she previously served as the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport from 2019 to 2021, becoming the first woman to hold that position. Throughout her career, she has held various government roles, including Undersecretary at the Ministry of Economy and Finance and Commissioner for the reconstruction of areas affected by the 2016 and 2017 earthquakes. De Micheli, who holds a degree in political science, began her political career in local government in Piacenza and has been a prominent figure in the centre-left political landscape in Italy.
