Paolo Barelli

Paolo Barelli is an Italian politician and former competitive swimmer who currently serves as an Undersecretary of State at the Ministry for Relations with Parliament. A long-time member of Forza Italia, he previously served as a Senator and a Member of the Chamber of Deputies, where he held the position of parliamentary group leader. Beyond his political career, Barelli is a prominent sports administrator and has served as the president of the Italian Swimming Federation since 2000, having previously competed for Italy in the 1972 and 1976 Summer Olympics.
