Parry Mitchell, Baron Mitchell

Parry Mitchell, Baron Mitchell is a British businessman and a life peer in the House of Lords. Created a peer in 2000, he has had a distinguished career in the IT services sector, founding and selling several international companies. Politically, he was a founder of the Social Democrats before joining the Labour Party. He has served on the Science and Technology Select Committee and held various advisory roles. Known for his commitment to educational and social causes, he founded the eLearning Foundation and chaired the Coexistence Trust to foster dialogue between Jewish and Muslim students. He rejoined the Labour Party in 2020 after a period as a crossbencher.
