Douglas Hogg, 3rd Viscount Hailsham, is a British politician and barrister who currently serves as a member of the House of Lords. A long-serving Conservative politician, he was a Member of Parliament for Grantham and later Sleaford and North Hykeham from 1979 to 2010. During his career in the House of Commons, he held several ministerial positions, including Minister of State at the Department of Trade and Industry and Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in the government of John Major. He was created a life peer in 2015, allowing him to continue his parliamentary service in the House of Lords.
