Jonathan Marland, Baron Marland

Jonathan Marland, Baron Marland is a British businessman and politician who serves as a life peer in the House of Lords. A prominent member of the Conservative Party, he previously held government roles including Minister for Energy and Climate Change and Minister for Intellectual Property. Beyond his parliamentary duties, he is the Chairman of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council and has held various leadership positions in the insurance and business sectors, including as a founding director of Jardine Lloyd Thompson. Lord Marland is also actively involved in cultural and charitable organizations, serving as a Trustee of the British Museum and holding advisory roles with the International Churchill Society.
