Helen Whately

Helen Whately is a British Conservative Party politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Faversham and Mid Kent since 2015. She has held several ministerial positions, including Minister of State for Social Care and Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury. Following the 2024 general election, she was appointed to the Shadow Cabinet, currently serving as the Shadow Secretary of State for Work and Pensions. Before entering politics, she worked as a management consultant at PwC and McKinsey & Company, and as a media policy advisor. Her political career has focused on healthcare, social care, and infrastructure development within her constituency.
