Marina Ahmad

Marina Ahmad is a British Labour Party politician and trade unionist who has served as the London Assembly Member for Lambeth and Southwark since 2021. Born in Bangladesh and raised in England, she holds a degree in English and History from the University of Surrey. Before her election to the Assembly, she worked in the public and voluntary sectors, for the NHS, and as a barrister for the Crown Prosecution Service. She previously served as a councillor on Bromley Council and is known for her advocacy on childhood hunger, successfully campaigning for the introduction of free school meals in London.
