Patricia Roybal Caballero

Patricia Roybal Caballero is an American politician currently serving as a member of the New Mexico House of Representatives for the 13th district. First elected in 2012, she assumed office in January 2013 and is recognized as one of the first Native American women elected to the state legislature. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado Boulder and a dual Master of Public Administration and Master of Community and Regional Planning from the University of New Mexico. In addition to her legislative work, she is a member of the Piro-Manso-Tiwa tribal faction and belongs to the Guadalupe Pueblo. In 2021, she was a candidate for the Democratic nomination in the special election for New Mexico's 1st congressional district.
