Patrick Brian Hurley is a British Labour Party politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Southport since the 2024 general election, becoming the first Labour MP to represent the constituency. Prior to his parliamentary career, he served as a councillor for Mossley Hill on the Liverpool City Council from 2011 to 2023. Hurley gained national attention for his vocal condemnation of rioters in Southport following the 2024 stabbing incident and for launching a whimsical campaign to reduce the price of Freddo chocolate bars to highlight the cost of living crisis.
