Paul Calandra

Paul Calandra is a Canadian politician serving as the Ontario Minister of Education since 2025. A member of the Progressive Conservative Party, he represents the riding of Markham—Stouffville in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. Throughout his provincial career, he has held several key cabinet positions, including Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, Minister of Long-Term Care, and Government House Leader. Prior to his provincial service, Calandra was a federal Member of Parliament for Oak Ridges—Markham from 2008 to 2015, during which time he served as a parliamentary secretary to Prime Minister Stephen Harper. He holds a bachelor's degree from Carleton University and previously worked in the insurance industry.
