Paul Goldsmith is a New Zealand politician and historian who has served as a Member of the New Zealand House of Representatives since 2011. A member of the National Party, he currently holds multiple ministerial portfolios in the Sixth National Government, including Minister of Justice, Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage, and Minister for Treaty of Waitangi Negotiations. Before entering national politics, he served as an Auckland City Councillor and worked as a historian and biographer. Known for his conservative and neoliberal economic views, Goldsmith has been a prominent advocate for tougher sentencing laws and judicial reform throughout his parliamentary career.
