Paul Gosar

Paul Anthony Gosar is an American politician and former dentist who has served in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2011. Representing Arizona's 9th congressional district, he previously held seats for the 4th and 1st districts. Before entering politics, Gosar operated a successful dental practice in Flagstaff, Arizona, for over two decades and served as president of the Arizona Dental Association. A member of the Republican Party, he is known for his staunch support of Donald Trump and his alignment with the far-right wing of his party. His tenure has been marked by significant controversy, including a formal censure by the House in 2021 for posting a violent, edited video, as well as criticism regarding his associations with far-right figures and his challenges to the 2020 presidential election results.
