Paul Murphy

Paul Murphy is an Irish politician serving as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Dublin South-West constituency. A prominent socialist activist, he previously served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from 2011 to 2014. Throughout his career, Murphy has been involved in various campaigns, including anti-austerity movements and protests against water charges. He was a member of the Socialist Party and later founded the political group RISE before it joined People Before Profit in 2021. Murphy is known for his advocacy of Irish neutrality and his active participation in international humanitarian and social justice causes.
