Paul Torkelson

Paul Torkelson is an American politician serving as a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives since 2009. A fourth-generation farmer from Watonwan County, he previously worked as a music teacher and held various leadership roles in agricultural and community organizations, including the Minnesota Farm Bureau. Throughout his legislative career, Torkelson has held several key positions, including assistant majority leader, assistant minority leader, and chair of the Capital Investment and Transportation Finance committees. He is a member of the Republican Party and has announced that he will not seek re-election in 2026.
