Paul Van Tigchelt is a Belgian politician and member of the Open Vld party. Born in Weelde in 1973, he studied law at the Catholic University of Leuven and began his career as a prosecutor in Antwerp. He served as the Federal Minister of Justice and the North Sea from 2023 to 2025. Following his tenure in government, he was elected to the Chamber of Representatives in the 2024 federal elections and also serves as a member of the Zoersel City Council.
