Maurits Vande Reyde is a Belgian politician currently serving as a member of the Flemish Parliament. Born in Leuven, he holds a master's degree in Applied Economic Sciences from the Catholic University of Leuven. Vande Reyde began his political career as an advisor and later served as chairman of the youth wing of the Open VLD. Elected to the Flemish Parliament in 2019 and re-elected in 2024, he also serves as a local councillor in Diest. Formerly a member of the Open VLD, he left the party in 2025 to pursue a more radical, right-liberal agenda focused on fiscal conservatism, smaller government, and entrepreneurship. In 2025, he launched the political action group Durf.
