Before entering national politics, he worked as a security guard at the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium and in the hospitality sector. A member of the Workers' Party of Belgium, he previously served on the municipal council of Forest from 2018 to 2021. He was first elected to the federal parliament in 2019 and was re-elected in 2024, receiving the highest number of preference votes in his constituency.
