Mathieu Michel is a Belgian politician and a member of the Reform Movement (MR). Born in 1979, he is the son of Minister of State Louis Michel and the brother of former Prime Minister Charles Michel. He began his political career as a provincial councillor for Walloon Brabant in 2000 and later served as the president of the provincial college from 2012 to 2020. In October 2020, he was appointed Secretary of State for Digitization, Administrative Simplification, Privacy Protection and Building Regulation in the federal government. Following the 2024 federal elections, he was elected to the Belgian Chamber of Representatives.
