M'Hamed Kasmi is a Belgian politician currently serving as a member of the Flemish Parliament, representing the Brussels-Capital Region since July 2024. Before entering regional politics, he worked for thirteen years as a teacher of industrial electricity in vocational education and as a technical trainer for the Brussels public transport company MIVB. Kasmi began his political career in Waregem with the socialist party sp.a, serving on the local municipal council from 2015 to 2017. After moving to Brussels, he was involved with change.brussels and Be.One before joining Team Fouad Ahidar in 2024.
