Fouad Ahidar is a Belgian politician and the founder of the political party Team Fouad Ahidar. He has served as a member of the Parliament of the Brussels-Capital Region since 2004, initially representing the socialist party Vooruit. In December 2023, he resigned from Vooruit following internal disagreements and subsequently launched his own party, which focuses on minority interests. In the 2024 regional elections, his party achieved significant success in the Dutch-speaking electoral college of Brussels. Ahidar has faced controversy for his public comments regarding the October 7 Hamas attacks, which he characterized as a minor reaction.
