Paula Barker

Paula Barker is a British Labour Party politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Liverpool Wavertree since 2019. Before entering national politics, she spent nearly 30 years in local government and served as a regional convenor for the trade union UNISON. During her parliamentary career, she has held various frontbench roles, including Shadow Minister for Homelessness and Rough Sleeping and Shadow Minister for Devolution and the English Regions. Barker is known for her focus on social care reform and homelessness, and she currently serves as Vice Chair of the Parliamentary Committees on Standards and Privileges.
