Margaret Mullane

Margaret Mullane is a British Labour Party politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Dagenham and Rainham since 2024. Raised in Dagenham, she previously served as a councillor for the Village ward on the Barking and Dagenham London Borough Council starting in 2010, where she held the position of Cabinet Member for Enforcement and Community Safety. Before her election to Parliament, she worked as an office manager for her predecessor, Jon Cruddas. Mullane is known for her local advocacy, including successful efforts to protect residents affected by the 2022 Wennington wildfire from specific levy payments. She currently serves as a member of the Home Affairs Select Committee.
