Pedro Carreño

Pedro Carreño is a Venezuelan politician, lawyer, and former military officer who currently serves as a member of the National Assembly of Venezuela. A prominent figure in the Chavista movement, he previously served as the Minister of the Interior and Justice from 2007 to 2008 and was a member of the 2017 National Constituent Assembly. Throughout his career, he has held various leadership roles within the legislature, including the presidency of the Permanent Commission of Domestic Policy. Known for his staunch support of the government, Carreño has been a central figure in Venezuelan parliamentary politics since the early 2000s.
