Pekka Toveri

Pekka Toveri is a Finnish politician and retired major general who currently serves as a Member of the European Parliament. Before entering politics, he had a distinguished 35-year career in the Finnish Army, holding key positions such as commander of the Armoured Brigade and director of the Intelligence Division of the Defence Command. Following his military retirement, he worked as a researcher at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs. He was elected to the Parliament of Finland in 2023 before transitioning to the European Parliament in 2024.
