He won the 2024 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election from the Visakhapatnam North constituency, having previously represented the same constituency from 2014 to 2019 while also serving as the BJP's floor leader in the assembly. A civil engineering gold medalist from Andhra University, his family migrated to Visakhapatnam in the 1970s.
