Pete Aguilar is an American politician serving as the U.S. representative for California's 33rd congressional district since 2015. A member of the Democratic Party, he currently serves as the chair of the House Democratic Caucus, making him the highest-ranking Latino in congressional history. Before his election to Congress, Aguilar served as the mayor of Redlands, California, and as a member of the Redlands City Council. Throughout his career, he has focused on issues such as immigration reform, job creation, gun control, and national security. He also served on the U.S. House Select Committee investigating the January 6 attack on the Capitol.
