Peter Truscott, Baron Truscott

Peter Truscott, Baron Truscott is a British politician, writer, and consultant who serves as a non-affiliated member of the House of Lords. Educated at Exeter College, Oxford, he previously served as a Labour Member of the European Parliament from 1994 to 1999 and as a Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Energy. Throughout his career, he has authored several books on Russian politics, defense, and energy security. In 2009, he was suspended from the House of Lords following a parliamentary investigation into lobbying practices, leading to his subsequent resignation from the Labour Party.
