Josh Simons

Josh Simons is a British politician who served as the Member of Parliament for Makerfield from 2024 to 2026. Educated at The Perse School and St John's College, Cambridge, he later completed a doctorate at Harvard University. Before his election, he worked as a research scientist at Meta and as the director of the think tank Labour Together. During his time in Parliament, he served as a Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Digital Government. He resigned from his ministerial roles in early 2026 following controversy regarding an investigation into journalists, and subsequently stood down as an MP in May 2026.
