Phil Scott

Phil Scott is an American politician, businessman, and former stock car racer serving as the 82nd Governor of Vermont since 2017. A member of the Republican Party, he previously served as a member of the Vermont Senate from 2001 to 2011 and as the 81st Lieutenant Governor of Vermont from 2011 to 2017. Often described as a moderate or liberal Republican, Scott is known for his fiscally conservative but socially liberal policy positions. Throughout his tenure as governor, he has focused on economic development, workforce initiatives, and managing the state's fiscal budget.
