Pradip Purohit

Pradip Purohit is an Indian politician currently serving as a Member of the Lok Sabha, representing the Bargarh constituency in Odisha following his victory in the 2024 national election. He previously served as a member of the Odisha Legislative Assembly, having been elected from Padampur in 2014. Purohit first gained public prominence as a social activist, notably founding and coordinating the 'BALCO Hatao Gandhamardan Bachao' movement, which mobilized thousands of residents in the Padampur sub-division. He continues to be a significant political figure within the Bharatiya Janata Party in Odisha.
