Praveen Chakravarty

Praveen Chakravarty is an Indian politician and economist serving as a member of the Rajya Sabha, representing the state of Tamil Nadu. A key figure within the Indian National Congress, he chairs the party's Data Analytics department and the All India Professionals' Congress. Before entering politics, he had a distinguished career in investment banking and technology, having worked with IBM, Microsoft, and BNP Paribas, and served as a co-founder of Mumbai Angels. He is widely recognized for his work on economic policy, including the development of the NYAY scheme and his research on India's economic divergence.
