Princess Faku

Princess Faku is a South African politician serving as the Mayor of the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality since March 2023. A member of the African National Congress, she previously served as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa from 2019 to 2021 and as the Deputy Mayor of Buffalo City from 2021 to 2023. Before entering national politics, she held various leadership roles within the National Youth Development Agency and served in regional party structures, including as the ANC regional chairperson for the Dr WB Rubusana region. Her tenure as mayor has focused on municipal governance and administrative oversight within the Eastern Cape province.
