Qurban Hussain, Baron Hussain

Qurban Hussain, Baron Hussain is a British-Pakistani politician and life peer who has served as a member of the House of Lords since 2011. Born in Kotli, Pakistan, he began his political career as a member of the Labour Party before joining the Liberal Democrats in 2003. He served as a councillor on the Luton Borough Council from 2003 to 2011, including a tenure as deputy leader. During the Cameron-Clegg coalition government, he acted as a diversity adviser to Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg.
