Rainer Robra is a German politician and jurist who has served as the Minister of State and Head of the State Chancellery of Saxony-Anhalt since 2002. A member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), he has also held the position of Minister for Culture of Saxony-Anhalt since 2016. Throughout his long career, Robra has been a prominent figure in state politics, overseeing media and European policy, and holds the record for the longest continuous membership in the German Bundesrat. Before entering high-level government, he worked as a judge and prosecutor in Lower Saxony and was a founding partner of a law firm. He is recognized for his contributions to the development of the legal system in Saxony-Anhalt and his commitment to German-French relations.
