Rajeev Bhardwaj

Rajeev Bhardwaj is an Indian politician currently serving as a member of the 18th Lok Sabha, representing the Kangra constituency in Himachal Pradesh. He was elected in the 2024 Indian general elections, defeating his nearest rival, Anand Sharma, by a margin of 251,895 votes. Bhardwaj, who has a background as a medical professional, is known for his advocacy regarding the rights of Pong Dam evictees, a cause stemming from his own family's displacement in the 1970s. He remains a vocal proponent for the compensation and land allocation promised to those affected by the dam project.
