Rajeev Kumar is an Indian politician and retired police officer currently serving as a Member of the Rajya Sabha representing West Bengal. A former Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, he held several high-profile positions, including Director General of West Bengal Police and Commissioner of Kolkata Police. Following his retirement from the police service in January 2026, he transitioned into politics and was sworn in as a member of the Upper House of the Indian Parliament in April 2026 as a candidate for the All India Trinamool Congress.
