Rakan Nasreddine

Rakan Nasreddine is a Lebanese vascular surgeon and politician currently serving as the Minister of Public Health in the cabinet of Prime Minister Nawaf Salam since February 2025. Before his appointment, he was an academic physician at the American University of Beirut Medical Center, where he specialized in vascular surgery and conducted research on antimicrobial resistance and infectious diseases. As Minister, he has focused on strengthening Lebanon's healthcare infrastructure, promoting disease prevention programs, and engaging the medical diaspora to support the country's public health resilience during its ongoing economic and social recovery.
