Rakesh Rathore

Rakesh Rathore is an Indian politician currently serving as a Member of Parliament for the Sitapur constituency in the Lok Sabha. He previously served as a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, having been elected in 2017 as a candidate for the Bharatiya Janata Party. In 2022, he joined the Indian National Congress, citing disagreements with BJP policies. In 2025, Rathore was arrested following allegations of sexual exploitation, though he was subsequently granted bail by a district court in March 2025.
