
Ram Ben-Barak

Ram Ben-Barak is an Israeli politician and former high-ranking security official who has served as a member of the Knesset for the Yesh Atid party since 2019. Before entering politics, he had a distinguished career in the Israeli security forces, serving as a combat soldier in the Sayeret Matkal unit, deputy director of the Mossad, and director general of both the Ministry of Intelligence Services and the Ministry of Strategic Affairs. In 2023, he challenged Yair Lapid for the leadership of Yesh Atid, ultimately losing the primary election in 2024. He holds a master's degree in government and national security from the University of Haifa.
