Rasata Rafaravavitafika is a Malagasy diplomat and politician who was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of Madagascar on January 14, 2024. She is the fifth and youngest woman to hold this position in the history of Malagasy diplomacy. Prior to her ministerial appointment, she worked within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for several years in roles including Chief of Staff, Spokesperson, and Director of Economic Expansion. Her stated priorities include promoting economic diplomacy, encouraging the Malagasy diaspora to participate in national development, and enhancing the country's image overseas.
