Rebecca Bauer-Kahan

Rebecca Bauer-Kahan is an American attorney and politician serving as a member of the California State Assembly for the 16th district since 2018. A member of the Democratic Party, she has focused her legislative career on reproductive rights, environmental protection, gun control, and consumer privacy. Before entering politics, she practiced law in Washington, D.C., and served as a law professor at Santa Clara University and Golden Gate University. She is recognized for founding the Select Committee on Reproductive Health and authoring significant legislation regarding abortion access, mental health services, and gender-based price discrimination.
