Rebecca Saldaña is an American politician serving as a member of the Washington State Senate, representing the 37th legislative district since her appointment in 2017. Born and raised in Seattle, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in theology and humanities from Seattle University. Prior to her legislative career, Saldaña worked as a labor organizer for farmworkers and the Service Employees International Union, and served as the executive director of the advocacy group Puget Sound Sage. She has focused her legislative work on transportation and labor issues, and currently serves on several community organization boards.
