René Bochmann

René Bochmann is a German politician serving as a member of the Bundestag since 2021, representing the Nordsachsen constituency for the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party. Born in Markranstädt in 1969, he served in the Border Troops of the German Democratic Republic and was a member of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED) between 1987 and 1990. Before entering federal politics, he worked as a construction worker and in various other professional fields. He joined the AfD in 2016 and successfully secured a direct mandate in the 2021 federal election.
