Torben Braga is a German politician serving as a member of the Landtag of Thuringia. Born in Brazil in 1991, he studied political science and public law at the universities of Jena and Marburg. Initially a member of the FDP, he joined the Alternative for Germany (AfD) in 2015 and has since risen to become a prominent figure within the party's Thuringian state association, where he serves as deputy chairman. Braga is widely regarded as a key political ally of Björn Höcke and is associated with the nationalist wing of the party. He was first elected to the state parliament in 2019 and was re-elected in 2024.
